Gold Sniffin' Hounds
Hey All,
I've been pokin' around online and came across a few articles, I was amazed at what I had read:
Some folks have been able to train their dogs(from a puppy age of course) to be able to smell gold/silver. They use either raw nuggets or gold coinage and I guess the dogs pick up on it really quick just like it was smelling for anything else. Now nobody said they were some crazy detecting machine, most actually stated their dog found coins/rings on top of the grass or only like one or two inches down, but STILL, that's pratically ProPointer status almost!!
The point I'm trying to get at is.....do any of you have a gold hound? Pics? Tips? Funny story?
I will be training my Welch Corgie/Choco Lab(haven't decided which first yet) to be doing this.
If we have any Zelda fans out there, please give me a shout out and Majoras Mask for life
