Found 3 gold rings in Jan so I am on the hunt for more...hard, while luck is still with me.
I just started hunting a park 2 days ago that also has 12 kiddie soccer fields and no signals on any of the fields so far so I am concentrating on the sidelines.
Mommy and Daddy bling is the goal, gold is preferred but silver is ok too.
First hunt on Sunday I found a ton of clad, many quarters and my nickel count beat out my dimes.
Methinks this is a pretty virgin site, or it hasn't been hunted in a long time, anyway.
That hunt I found 3 silver jewelry pieces which I have never done before.
2 earrings and a small silver ring.
Yesterday it was cold so I spent just a short time here and picked up more clad an a junk religious medal.
Today it warmed up nicely so I hit it again and not only clad but a really nice Indonesian silver ring with what I believe is not a stone but some other kind of metal in the center.
Way cool, I think.
I have not dug one pop top here yet, but my F70 and standard coil is great at avoiding these, only 2 screw on tops which I knew what they were before I dug them, a couple of pieces of small can slaw and maybe only one piece of foil so far.
The big deal trash here is sta-tabs and I only dig the solid ones because the jumpy ones are always tabs for me and I have never dug gold in the tab area that jumps yet.
Kind of a dream site, easy to figure out trash and digging all those coins and that silver is fun and passes the time while I wait for some yellow metal to show up.
There has got to be some around here from all indications, I just have to get my coil over it.
A million signals here and I will keep at it when the weather lets me and I hope I can get to cover most of these sidelines before spring comes and the soccer season starts.
Pics in order below.
1...The clad I have dug up in 3 hunts, notice the quarters and especially the amount of nickels.
2...The silver and other stuff I have gathered up.
3...My 3 silver targets on one hunt.
4...This pretty cool Indonesian silver bi-metal ring.
Stay tuned, more to come hopefully.
