Hi all, yesterday the forecast called for lite rain. A little rain is kid stuff but the site was up in the mountains and I soon realized that there was two inches of snow that was not there 6 days ago at the higher elevation..
I had to walk about a mile from the parking area . Crossing this field was easy last time but this time I went feet first into a pond .
It was iced over and had snow on the ice which made for perfect camouflage..
Yes wet feet was not a good way to start a hunt but I was close to the site so I pressed on. I realized that I had to keep moving or my feet would go numb.I had extra clothes in my back pack which saved the day for extra warmth .
It ended up being a good but tiring hunt, the take was 17 coins total ranging from late 1600s - one WW2 Japanese coin . On the walk back I walked right upon a huge pheasant which scared me to death but it was beautiful. Wish I would of had the camera out.
Thanks for looking and HH.
