Wow, what a wonderful day for Jan 7th! Felt like spring, so Greg (campbluegrass) and I got a 4 hour hour relic hunt in at a local spot I found many years ago that always likes to give up those big ole .69 cal minies. Greg and I both did really well, but he'll post his finds later (including another first for him!). Best finds for me was a soldiers brass wedding band. Close by I got 3 .69 cal minies with one that a soldier had hacked on with his knife. I also got 2 fired 58 cal's , an eagle button, a silver Rosie and a few other odds and ends. Thanks for looking! HH'ing all!

Another great hunt Bill!! What are you and Greg so wrapped up for? Cold there today? Those Big Boys are fun to dig aren't they? HH, Q.

I've got about a half dozen wedding band's from different CW site's and I agree they have to almost alway's be the best dig for the day.Unless it's a plate ;D Nice dig's :icon_thumright:

Cool finds! That CW lead is always a welcome find!!

Hey Bill,

You look good in that photo! Who took that?!!! Great time today. Can't wait to get out again and swing... You had some great finds today but you usually do... You're the man!

Awesome! How I do love finding them fatty 69's. Haven't found one in a long time.

Wassup Quindy! Ahhhh, it started in the 30's in the morning, but got up to the 40's by early afternoon....prolly not as warm as down there in God's country. Truth is...I'm just a wimp with cold temps....gimme heat anyday!

Doug, Getty Mike, Civilman and all others ...thanks for the kind words. Hope your 2012 hunting is off to a great start!

Thanks Birdman! How you liking Shady J? I liked my time there, pretty base...lotsa pines. I was in the 335th AGE group. Happy hunting my Air Force brother!

I thought squrells only chewed antlers!!LOL I dug that same heart penant a couple years ago?Never could find a match anywhere?

Nice finds! Wedding bands are always a good find, those dang Civil War squirrel's, didn't they know lead is poisonous? HH

Nice digs, love those big 69'ers. That silver rosy was probably lost by the first relic hunter on the site back in the 60's - LOL

Nice hunt Bill. Those .69's are huge and we don't get too many of them here. We get most of ours in Virginia. Pouch gets heavy after hauling a few of those around, lol.

Nice hunt, good button and relics

Nice hunting, got to love the G2 !!!! :headbang:
