Excellent hunt, love the sidenotchers. Do the 2 snapped points fit together? What are in pics 3&4? Good job.

Wow great display finds that's amazing Thanks for sharing those cool finds. Tommy

the triangular points are nice. Congrats

Wow! That is awesome!

Good day out, docmann. Nice Washita points and yep some alibates material in there. May have missed it, but haven't heard from you in a while.

Nice Finds! :icon_thumright: It's always nice to find those tri-notch arrow/arrowheads.

Yup, seems like about 75% of our points around here are from the Alibates outcropping near Amarillo. The only native stone is quartzite, which makes a rough-looking artifact. The oval spokeshave is obsidian.
Thanks for your comments.

Na, the broken pieces are positioned just for reference. Rarely, I’ll find two fragments that match, but typically not. The third photo is of an obsidian spokeshave, and the forth is a scapula with a nice sharp bevel still on the edge. I strongly suspect a scapula hoe. Thanks for your comments.

OTB, our archaeology friends tell us these were Wichita, semi-nomadic. ~AD 950 to 1250.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, gang. I’m headed out to the Cooper Mountain area off the Brazos River in a week or two. Hope to have some nice corner-notched pieces to show. I’ll show some more of my local pieces along the way. I look forward to getting acquainted and reacquainted with you all!

What's the item in your hand? Are you in the panhandle? And I have detected with Mike a few times.

That’s an obsidian spokeshave. Pretty little find.
you need to get Mike back out now that he’s retired!
Thanks for the comments!

Nice finds .... the notched points are really cool iv always liked that style

Looks like it was a great day for you. Those are some nice pieces.
