Not sure if I had a good day or bad day yesterday. Hunted some old tall trees away from the road near downtown. One spot behind one of the trees gave up 6 gtrs, 4 nickels, 5 dimes, and 30-40 pennies. No silver, although I was hoping because on a previous visit I had found a silver qtr in the area. Many of the pennies are clumped together almost as if they were in rolls at some point--all Memorials; the acid from tree debris has started to corrode the coins

. This spot is a notorious sleeping area for homeless so maybe the coins were dropped and accumulated through the years? Oh well, I guess it's better than going home with nothing. The pennies will clean up well and the coppers are worth 1.6 cents. Thx for reading and have fun out there.
