Evening all. I picked up some penny rolls after work today. Some of them were in hand rolls while others were machine rolled. I opened the first of the handrolled and saw a solid roll of wheats. Most of the next rolls were either solid rolls of wheats or a mix with many from the 1960s that still had the mint luster on them.
Figured my luck with older pennies was spent and wasn't going to find much in the machine rolls. Wrong, about the 2nd roll in is a 1902 Indian cent. Then, as i'm grouping the wheats into groups of the decade they were minted, i spot another Indian head, a beat up but legible 1892.There was also 16 steel pennies mixed in( 2 of the steels look like they came right out of the mint) and a foreign coin i can't identify. Also, i don't know if it's unusual but i spotted a 1974-d in which the mintmark looked like it was very low on the coin.
The wheats are grouped from the 50s to the teens from left to right. Thanks for looking.Good luck. MM2
