Good Friday hunt

Went back to a 1860’s farm that I been detecting off and on since last Fall. Nothing notable today except for the iron wheel that I returned to the property owner’s who were happy to add it to their outdoor decor. Property has been in their family for about 80 years.

I messaged the wife who wasn’t home and her response was (Oh yeah we love our wheel’s).
They had two old steel wheels already by their main entrance to the house.
The husband arrived just before I left we talked for some time. Can’t remember exactly what he said but was very happy to have the wheel.
I also gave him about 6 costume jewelry type rings for his grandkids to find with their metal detector’s. After I started finding stuff there the kids apparently took interest. I told him just poke a hole in the ground and place a ring in it. To make the kids believe they found old treasure.
