Found my first artifacts of the season in a couple fields near the Assiniboine River today.

I looked on a small piece of land that had been eroded a bit and found a biface tool made from a type of pink quartz. The picture doesn't show the flaking too well but I was happy to find it.

I also returned to a site where I had found some scrapers and debitage last year and found a bunch more debitage and few worked flakes when i returned today. I also found a small scraper made from Knife River Flint. I've only found two pieces of KRF on this field and both were scrapers. This was all found in a small area on a small hill beside the river, so I'm thinking its an area where tools would be made. I have not found any projectile point, pottery or hammer stones on this site

Welcome to the site. I have a spot like that to scrapers and tools but no points. You are in the rite spot that is for sure, rock

Thanks for sharing and good luck in future hunts.
