Relic Hunting
I started out yesterday at a field near a old colonial house and after about a hour of not finding much I decided to go on to the next spot down about a mile from this one. didnt take long to start finding some goodies in this huge field, the early eagle naval button was found first then the finds just kept coming. the 1864 2 cent coin was found close to 9 inches down but that t2 really made it sound like 2 inches. has great detail but has some crud on it, not sure how to remove it. large cent is a 1825 with some detail. later in the hunt the 2 silver barbers were found close to each other, both cleaned up well both with full libertys on the head bands. near the end of the hunt being tired and exhausted from walking in mud, which was like walking in concrete I got a solid hit on the large heart bridal rosette which looks to be lead filled. my guess is its a military rosette from the civil war or maybe a little earier.the iron arrow head looking thing im also not sure about also. enjoy the pics
