Good morning! I've got questions??

We just got interested in purchasing a metal detector for searching for stuff! Any good ideas on a mid range model, priced reasonably for coins, etc. Been a dumpster diver for years, and enjoy that , do alot of camping, etc. and thought a detector would add some fun. Later Ray. :D

I agree, a mid-range machine price-wise is gonna run at least several hundred, and a mid-range machine quality-wise probably won't do what you want it to. The more you learn about this hobby, the more specific it becomes, I guess what I'm trying to say is that "mid-range" is kinda vague to me. At least give us a price range.

Welcome to TNet. I agree if you would give a dollar amount of what you want to spend it will be easier for folks here to help you out with suggestions.

Yes, give us an idea what price range you are looking at and what sorts of things you would like to look for and we can be more helpful. There are a LOT of machines out there and you want to make sure you find the one that will suit you best. Camping is a lot of fun and I have not gone in way too long. I am sure a detector could add all kinds of fun to a camping trip as long as you make sure you have permission to detect the area you are in. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you narrow it down or answer questions! Have a great day!

Re: Good morning! I've got questions??

as others said need to know your price range and your desires of hunting, many great land machines as useless in water as they are not waterproof. So if you plan to dive lakes or hunt rivers they would not be a good choice.
