i don't post here usually, but do like looking through from time to time. Picked up some nice silver pieces at a few yard sales today, Zuni bracelet sterling with 12k gf band, and some nice clip on earrings all silver, but what really has me stumped are these hideaousely beautiful clunky bracelets I found today. some elements are silver and some are silver plated brass. I am guess they are from India or central Asia, but have been looking for a couple hours and found nothing quite like them. No idea what their age is, where they are from, or how to even search any further. Hoping someone here may be ablw to shed some light on these.

Great finds. I do garage sales too and wife would have snatched those as well. Probably won't find another exactly like like. I think you are on right track with India. Most similar I have seen are from Pakistan. Persia, tribal, ceremonial, bangle, bracelet, silver, thick... should produce similar image results. Bought a few silver items from the middle east that have turned out to be valuable over the years, craftsmanship was similar. I'm interested to know more as well. Thanks for posting and hopefully someone will come along soon and have details for you.

Maybe Kuchi?

Middle eastern Sindh or Gujarat mixed metals Tribal bracelet is a start. Can't tell the size but they could be for the ankle.

thanks for the replies, still browsing around today, as far as size they are quite small. the one thing i am fi ding troubling is that some parts of tgem the larger balls for example are clearly silver plated brass. but smaller balls appear to be silver. i really dont want to file into it, especially if that means doing so in many places.
