Im new at MD and new at this site. i just got a new Treasure Huntar metal Detector 3030 Expert Model it's on it's way to me now. Can someone tell me if this is a good metal Detector? and how good is it? thank you

Hey, that's a nice lookin' unit you've got there..I say if it finds gold and silver, keep it!

You might try field testing it in your yard with different rings and coins..it'll help you know how it handles and what signals are good to dig.

Hi Radfjr, Every detector on the market has its own limitations. Give the thing a try and give yourself time to learn every bell and whistle that it has to offer. I dig just about every signal that I hear. I have had trash signals ending up being a nice silver half on edge. Don't get addicted to that discrimination dial. It's a given, we all dig more trash than treasure. The nice stuff is in between. Good luck
