I took this picture at the Gordon Hirabayashi (Catalina Federal Honor Camp 1937)
in the Catalina mountains in 2005. It has now been leveled, all
but a few concrete slabs and a pomegranate tree exist.
Converted to a camping and hiking staging area at around 4200ft .
The dump area consist of a huge pile of rusted tin cans (no bottles).
The camp had no guard towers or fences only painted rocks
to let the prisoners know where incarceration and freedom existed.
Datura and Desert Daisies along a wash in the canyon.

(sorry for the typo in the title- auto correct)
