I went into my field today with the notion of finding a hard rock tool like the celt I found last week. I found this and am not sure if it is a broken gorget or a broken tool of some kind. I'm leaning towards gorget based on the style. The top is rounded and the sides are very pronounced. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I also picked up a huge hide scraper and a spear or knife tip. Thanks for looking!

My impression of this piece is it was a complete gorget, albeit large, and was broken after it was made...prolly by the plough. I would think that the first hole would have been right where the break is. It is rounded on the top and then flat on the bottom so I do not thihnk celt...of course I have little experience in this.
