Gorget?

Found this last summer. I figured it might be a broken gorget. Almost left it where it laid thinking it fell off a tractor.

Yep looks like a gorget to me. I have one that looks almost identical, only it has one hole. Same looking material and color and there's only half as it is broke at the hole. Nice find. They are rare finds here in Vt....My son does have a nice little tear drop one that is in perfect condition.
 
That's exactly what it is! I still haven't found one, but I look everytime I go. thanks for sharing!

Yup Gorget. Don't believe a tractor broke it though, that 2nd hole is salvage work.
 
Nice find.Yep it was broken then salvaged but one question, what is that stuff filling the one hole?
 
ok now isee the one hole isnt drilled all the way thru and im gonna guess glue to hang peice?
 
Yes the one hole isn't drilled all the way through. And I put a dab of finger nail polish on it and number it like I do all the things I find. Lastly I record there locations on an old plat book. Thanks, SV
