Got a clue what this is?

My first time posting pictures so hopefully this goes through. Any ideas what this is? Its heavy like brass....is hollow but no threads.

Yea....Candlestick holder would have been my first thought....but the hole in the ends will hardly allow the tip of my pinky finger. It seems like an end off a nozzle from a garden hose but it's not threaded on the inside......? The hole is smaller than a dime and is the same size without any tapering or change in diameter through the length of the piece. Go figure??

Humor me here a second: Does the hole go all the way through? How about the handle from a jump rope?
