Had a pretty good run this weekend. I found what I think is a Marine button yesterday. It is a new one to me. I haven't really researched it much , not absolutely sure that is what it is yet but am thinking maybe 1820' 30's possibly 1812 period?. I cleaned the face of it a little in the field, but it is kind of looking in rough shape. I am thinking maybe it is one of those that should left alone before I do more harm then good cleaning it. Also found the wax seal and tap yesterday. Today I found a early convex button, flat button, and some odds and ends.--- HH IMG_0471.webpIMG_0476.webpIMG_0477.webpIMG_0482.webpIMG_0481.webpIMG_0479.webpIMG_0483.webpIMG_0486.webpIMG_0478.webp

I am tempted to try to bring out some more detail. I think I am just gonna leave this one alone though. I have had some bad experience's with buttons of this type, a couple I wanted to smack myself upside the head for messing with them, just made them worse. Thanks joe.
