Picked these up today for a few bucks at a flea market in Colorado, the Jax bottle came all the way from New Orleans, and now I'll be taking it home....Haven't had a chance to look any of them up so any thoughts on age, rough value etc are appreciated. I wish I had a little more extra cash so I could have cleaned the place out, but I'll just have to get my friend here to pick the rest up and send them to me.

So, from what I've found the Pabst seems to be 1910-1920 or so, and the Consumers Brewery was only open from 1896-1918, so that's good, no luck finding the Jax bottle yet, and I'm assuming the can is late '60's?

Good job dating the bottle finds...the crown tops (not Jax) is probably late teens to the 30's..you can tell by the top and compare it to the more modern crown tops in the 50's-60's..

I have an aqua variant of the Pabst. .but the amber one looks good

It's probably a good bet that the bottle is from the early sixties. .they do have a barrel bottle varient, I may have to get one..

I'd love to see your aqua version... I'd think the Pabst would have to be no newer than 1920 because of prohibition... I know they kept bottling "sparkling water" during the 20's but I'd think the hops logo would have gone out of use then? Any thoughts?

As to the Jax.... oddly enough, I don't have any Jax bottles in my collection.... I've seen so many for sale in NOLA that I just never thought to pick one up. Most of my bottles have come from under houses or in walls and Jax just hasn't turned up there either.... This one caught my eye because it was embossed, so far from home, and the guy was only asking 3$, so I just couldn't pass on it. I haven't seen another one online yet with the same embossing (Andrew Jackson on his horse) but I'm inclined to agree with your date on it.
