10 days after moving from the ACE 250 to the PRO and I am stoked. got the heart last night in a heavily hit park (I cleaned it of coins last year with the ACE). 85 on the VDI, not a dime not a qtr. at 4 inches. IMG_1519.webpIMG_1520.webpIMG_1521.webpIMG_1510.webpIMG_1511.webpIMG_1512.webpIMG_1514.webpIMG_1506.webpIMG_1507.webpthe Pididdly Links locket ( company from Kingston, NY, now defunct, started making items in 1964) came from a little league field that was also wiped clean by others, the vintage pin was at a cemetery I hit last week with FMERG and was the only item of value ( got a New Haven clock pocket watch that was toast) we walked out with. running in PRO-zero at 2 to 3 on sens. the Pro is seeing well over a foot down. sniped a clad qtr. that was hiding UNDER iron, the sounds are key to avoiding the trash!!! the heart is 2.7 DWT or 4.3 grams of Sterling:icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:. now I need some old virgin ground:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Great finds! The AT Pro is an awesome machine. I would recommend running in pro zero, it gives you more detail in the signal and can pick up more hidden items masked by iron.

The heart is really nice... congrats. Glad to see that the ATP is starting to earn his keep! Congrats.

Sweet looking heart, Congrats!!

Just makes me want one all the more. Congrats!

Nice finds! You know what every metal detector advertisement says "this machine makes all your old spots new again." Maybe this ATPro is gonna do that for you.

Frank (FMERG) is a good guy and a friend of mine--he certainly knows not to detect in a cemetery--that I'm sure of. Could you please clarify where you were detecting so people don't get the wrong idea (and perhaps consider editing your post). These posts come up via Google and could give our hobby a black eye.

The vintage pin was at a cemetery I hit last week with FMERG and was the only item of value ( got a New Haven clock pocket watch that was toast) we walked out with.

Nice digs, no matter the machine. I was concerned about the cemetery comment though. Thanks for clarifying this concern.

Nice score on the silvers!!!!

LOCO, Erik & 46Wheat, Frank and I generally hunt together. we stick to the natural growth trees, paths and around the perimeter fence and roadways. we are very aware of the 'Nam era protocol of coins on markers, and have recovered a few very old military markers to be re-placed at the proper headstone. I once dug a bronze marker from the Cuba, Philippines etc. conflict circa early 1800's along a road down 2 feet, and notified the caretaker to place it with the headstone of the man who served during that war ( the dates and info on the headstone were a match). the main issue at cemeteries is that there are generally no or at best very few coins, since were already hunted, but major broken glass, pulltabs, bottle caps, shotgun brass, beer cans and all the other party and deer hunter's trash!!! respect for the place you hunt at is a major consideration. hope this relieves anyone's concern.

the parking areas and paths that lead to the cemetery also around the caretakers house
