Got A New Permission Today! WOW!

I did some homework comparing old maps from 1850 and 1875. The house was there in 1850 and gone in 1875. I only had a couple of hours so thought I'd go for it! Looking at 3 old houses that are on the map, the one in the middle is gone. Pulled over, got out and walked into corn stubble about 20 feet! There she was, brick, glass and pottery hidden in plane site! Found: suspender clip, 3 flat buttons, 2 tombacs, pewter spoon handle & buckle. Also a lead collar stud? And two ovals I don't knows??

Sweet finds. I have always lover to see the different varieties of suspenders clips. They sure don’t make things like that today. Back then even the smallest detail of a man was dapper!

The lead knob is probably the handle off the lid of a tobacco humidor.....at least that's what the Archies in England call them!
The two oval pieces are grommets from a buggy (or antique car) canvas top.
Keep at it! There has to be some nice coins there!! Nice finds!

The pewter finial or lid top went on an 18th C Tobacco Box. It helped pull off the lid.
