Got a question....is my detector ok?

During the storm yesturday it turned on by itself and then started beeping like crazy......is my detector ok?

now if you could just get it to go find stuff for you and bring it home. might want to see and exorcist lol j/k not sure whats wrong unless you didnt have it turned off all the way to begin with.

It was completly off.....otherwise it would have been going crazy inside a house and the batteries would be long dead......just worried about if it will still work after that?

If you are sure it was turned off that is strange. If it is a high end detector I would send it in to be sure the time you spend detecting isn't wasting time with a funny machine. It is not unusuall for a detector to sound off during a storm, but not turn itself on.

It's a fisher F2. Unfortunatly i cant afford sending it in.......

if there is anything wrong with it do u think it will be covered by the warrenty?

take it out and try it, if it doesnt work send it in. if bought new its still under warranty
