Well, I went to Frys where my son works, and happened to see the 250 there....It was 212 dollars, he gets a pretty good discount on some things, and that is one of them...Ended up getting 40 dollars off, so i got it for about 172 dollars....Went straight to the park, and had no luck...Was a bit depressed to say the least..Anyway got home, and decided to go out and use it in my own yard, which has been searched quite a few times to say the least...Well in one "searched out" spot I popped a penny right away, got the ol Bounty Hunter out to see if it could detect it, and no dice...WOW..Here comes the kicker, went to the backyard, and searched a well searched spot, got a dime reading, and lo, and behold a 1980 dime AT 6 INCHES...A real 6 inches....I am impresed by this little toy...I think once I get used to it, it will be a nice little detector...I wanted to get something a little better, but the price was so right, I could'nt pass it up...I will let everyone know my thoughts as I get to use it more...I have searched with a Whites 5500D Coinmaster(My favorite) a Garret CXII Grandmaster, a Garret Ace 300, and a Bounty Hunter Land Star, so I have used a couple detctors (Never nothing really nice tho) I am curious as to where in the Garret line you get deeper detection over this one....I talked to one of their tech guys on the phone Friday, and he said the 550 does not go any deeper than the 250, so I guee you have to go up one more model to get many gains.......Thoughts on this anyone
Thanks alot, Tom
