Got me a #2 "Puncil".....

Got ou again to the field's of Antietam with my buddy's Roger,Union Camp Tony and Bobby who I invited up.We all left with something including my second pencil that I have from there......Cool stuff and personal to boot.....another for the case!!!! Thank's for looking

Nice finds Joe!! I have dug a few lead pencils. My understanding is they would take charcoal from the fires and rub the "pencils" in the charcoal and write on paper. Writing a note back home before going into battle-It doesn't get any more personal than that. HH, Quindy.

You all had a great day....that puncil is awesome very personal find. Hope to get out soon, to much garden canning, housework and kid stuff going on don't have time. Guess DIV will be my next adventure..maybe...oh well, can't ask for anything better. HH, can't wait to see what comes out of there next. You all are rockin'

Actually you don't need the charcoal as it is lead; take it to paper and it writes just as if you were holding a No.# 2 lead pencil in your hand. Great find Joe!
