I found a James Avery ring at a school, two inches down. It was so exciting to see that circle of silver, at first I thought it was another washer! I think going to my local MD club for the first time this week and joining brought me good luck! One of the dimes was a 1965, just a year earlier..... silver ring.webp

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Living up to your username ! Those are classic , I found one exactly like yours- here in Santa fe about 10 years ago. Classic James Avery , he just died last year - started his jewelry business in Kerrville ,TX. In the mid 1950's ,working out of his garage - became well known internationally - primarily for his Christian inspired jewelry . Nice Find !!

Congrats on digging a first, I see you digging many firsts this year. GL & HH

I did not know he passed, or that he was from Kerrville. Thanks for the info!

Ha, you saw that, Lairmo! I was trying to figure out what the writing on it meant: "Vita Enim Pirata Insulum Piratus". It was almost a cruel trick to find that...got my blood rushing at first!! It was nice and heavy, too.

Very cool silver!!!

Congrats on a beautiful ring, the first ones out of the way, the second one will be easier!:hello2:
