Car resembles a Jaguar Roadster Type 120 to 140.. 1950's vintage or a sports car close to that. There were one or two with a similar design. I think one was called a Talbot, not sure..That rock looks like what I would think a meteorite might look like..Is it magnetic?
Nice car. Will it clean up any?

DG ???

I checked and the rock is not magnetic, it is very light, I could'nt get an exact weight but it feels like it weighs about the same as a regular writing pen. After I found the car I rinsed it off and got all the dirt off, I don't know how to get it any cleaner than that.

How big is that rock? It looks like it's the size of a softball or so and if it's as light as you say it is, I would guess it's some kind of volcanic rock like pumice or something. Put it in a tub of water and see if it floats - I remember a high school earth science class where we learned about how some rocks are formed with lots of gaseous pockets in them during volcanic eruptions and they cool quickly leaving behind a shell like rock that sounds similar to what you have.

Dunno really - hope you find out.

Nice car! Repair it yourself just about any hobbie shop owner or patron can give you pointers.Fun project and a learning experience.Professional restoration is expensive!

I forgot that objects in photos are larger than they appear, the rock is only about 1 1/4 inches the long way and about 1/2 inch the short way, I put it in a bowl of water and it did sink, it did'nt plop right to the bottom like a rock would though, the car is about 5-6 inches the long way and a little under 2 inches the short way.

That is one big car. I thought it was Matchbox-sized at first, but then I saw it was sitting on your leg.

I have been going over every inch of that area and have'nt found anything that looks like tires yet.

I showed the car to a friend of mine and he said it could be a Rolls Royce, he said that is what the symbol in front looked like, what do you think?
