Got this nickel in change. Any ideas?

The diameter is alittle smaller than a normal nickel. Not sure if this was purposely done or struck this way. Any info is helpful.

That is definitely dryer damage. I used to have a handful of pennies and dimes that had come out of a 20 year old dryer. They were allmost half their normal size!
