Cleaning out a house this weekend and my friend found this item . I have no idea what it is :icon_scratch: . It looks like it held some fuel since it has a wick type thing . Does anyone know what this is and some history of it ?
Big thanks !
Glen

That's how women would heat their curling irons.

It's an alcohol burner we used them for heating a putty knife to melt lacquer sticks for piano and furniture finish repairs filling dents and scratches without damaging the surounding finnish. The knife would rest in the cradle keeping it hot. HH

Looks like some type of climbers lamp or stove do to the threads on the base of the wick holder and the swing arm that extends upright to hold something????????????????

The old advertisement at this link shows it as a curling iron heater, as mentioned by Plug n Play. Sure isn't what I would use it for, but it was sold as such. Prairie Stories: August 2013
