They are doing some updates to the site, I wasn't able to log in before Christmas, but now I'm able to log in. There are probably some bugs they need to work out to get it running right again.

Just tried to order my beginners kit last Sunday and they called me Wednesday night and said my order messed up so she took it over the phone. Said they have a new computer system that they are working the bugs out of. Then took 20.00 more from my card than the computer said the total was. They were supposed to call me back by yesterday evening and I haven't heard anything yet. Hope they get it straightened out.

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Nhprospector! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

I heard recently that about a third of the staff at the GPAA were fired. Heard something about Brandon wanting to sell it, too. Don't know how true that is, but something seems to be stewing. They are supposedly backed a few months on fulfilling orders in their store. Not sure if anyone else on here has a better idea of what's going on?

Its a hot mess. They don't understand 'cloud' too well. Its hosted on MS Azure, but for some reason they decided to do their 'upgrades' on the production system. With cloud and virtualization, you leave the production one up, spin up your dev, work out the kinks, then switch.

I also never understood why one could register for the forums as a guest, but couldn't post *anywhere* unless a GPAA member (all while they have a 'member' section) They are probably losing out on possible memberships, since perspective can't post questions about the GPAA. Only send emails to the admins who are obviously biased.

(not to mention the e-mail spam from them is a bit much)
