I hate to do it again, but I have another none metal detecting find to tell you about. I'm visiting my grandparent's with my friend for the fourth of July and we had planned to go metal detecting, but we stopped at an antique store I had passed a million times but never gone in. I actually lived next door to it for a couple of years. Anyways we went in and looked around and I immediately found a 1st Edition 1932 illustrated copy of The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper. I paid ten dollars for my books and left (6 for the Mohicans and 4 for Nightshift by Stephen King). Anyways I came home and looked it up and the Mohicans are actually worth $200. Which is cool, the only problem is I don't know if I can sell it. Anyways, we did some metal detecting later and found some great pull tabs. I'm starting to think I should stick to junk shops and put away the metal detector. HaHa

Not trying to burst your bubble... but Last of the Mohicans was originally published in 1826. Maybe yours is a first edition for the person who illustrated it?

Very nice......
