I found this in a cornfield yesterday in Salem NJ. I was looking around and dug a few of the iron signals (something I usually never do) I might be wrong but I believe this is grapeshot, I wouldn't want to get hit by any of this stuff. It has some weight to it, I couldn't imagine what a few of these would do getting shot out of a cannon. It measures 1 and a quarter inches across and weighs 3.72 ounces.

Thart would be in the size range. Certainly not an old bearing. WTG & try tnmountains & Old Stonewall's apple cider treatment on it. HH, Q.

Ive found a couple of those also here in Mass. and then i found one encased in rubber and it turned out to be the inside of an old golfball that lost its rubber coating
