That was my thought too Fossis; if it isn't wheat it's a pretty good bet it's a "cousin"

Looks like fountain grass, 'Pennisetum Alopecuroides'.

Yep, it's pretty. Seen some in the garden spot at Lowes...some kind of a ornamental grass.
