Wish I could help.
1st one the scripture verse Mathew 19 - 14
2nd im making out Mathew 18 - 3
Sad loss by the looks of it, is that right 2 children from the same family.
Lovely gravestones with the verses and pointing towards the heavens, they deserve to be restored.
Ahhh, your a very good egg Gare. 👍👍

Thank you Chilli I sure wish you were closer to me. I woul;d like your help and friendship

But see how the marker stone is tilted. Is there any way to raise the corner ?

Do a goggle search on cleaning Lime Stone , but some people place coins under the stone to raise it if not to tilted. I had a similar problem with my Uncle's stone. It was (surface mount )laying flat . The stone was sunk down below level of the soil. I could not find or contact the Care taker of this smaller Cemetary in Litchfield Illionois . so my brother and I raised the stone up and added crushed rock from a pile of it at a corner of the Cemetary and set it back down at a proper height! I was his name sake nephew and I couldn't let it be ! I hope I didn't break any laws by doing so BUT If so I'll just have to live with it. My Uncle was a LT. Commander (Navel Air) during WW2 He also was a volunteer at Bikini Atoll during Operation "Cross Roads " when dropping the A bomb . I might add that he was also one of the many brave men and women that Volunteered to stand up and face the blast ! My uncle Russell E. Pearce died of lung Cancer in 1987 while I was in RVN . GOD BLESS THESE MEN / WOMEN and their family's for their sacrifice for all of us ! Certain coins have a special message / meaning to all that will see them if placed on top of a Tomb Stone !

My uncle told me he payed $400 to have his and my dad's tombstone leveled. That was probably 5-6 years ago now.

I have some experience in this. To clean use a soft brush such as a tire scrub brush or potato cleaning brush and distilled water with a Ph neutral soap. Do not use chemicals on marble. Do not use a power washer, it will damage the marble.

To level correctly, remove the stone and base and lay down a sand pad on undisturbed earth, level the sand and place the stone. They make concrete "pads" you can put on top of the sand to place the stone on also (similar to the pad under your a/c unit). These can be purchased from any monument company

Russau I thank you for your reply. I will try some of your suggestions. One thing you forgot was to post a picture of your uncles grave stone so we ALL CAN HONOR HIM :) thank you

I commend you for caring, even if restoration proves not to be feasible.

I don’t know how much of this you already know, but those seem to be the gravestones of Narcissa and Emily Bever who died in 1854 and 1855 respectively at the ages of 4 and 2 years. These screen caps are from ‘findagrave’ and Narcissa’s headstone seems to have originally had what looks like a small animal figure on top:

There must have been great sorrow in the Bever household to lose two such young children so close together.

R-C yes i knew that . I would like to level them up and there is one that is broke in half i would like to put back together. Just wondering how i should do it. Maybe some type of glue ?
I also thank you for your reply

I work in custom cabinets, when they install stone countertops they have a special epoxy type adhesive they use to join 2 pieces together, try checking with a local stone countertop company to see if they could sell you some to join the stone back together.

Thank you AU Seeker I will call tomorrow

There was a Scarlett Fever pandemic from 1820 - 1860, 30% of young children under the age of 16 perished....so ive read....I looked into this 20 or so years ago after I stumbled across 3 or 4 old abandoned graveyards in PA that had many more infants buried than adults during the mid 1800's...

If you want to know how to do it properly, contact the fine folks at:
Thank you very much :) Some people have told me to do it properly it will run into hundreds of dollars, and that is to much for me to spend on these stones. I think you understand. BUT I will contact the people you suggest and see what they say :( Thanks again

Yes Ted a lot of children died because of a lot of reasons back then.
Today now they say how dangerous it is to get vacination shots. Hard to understand isn't it ???
