Since I hunt on a lot of BLM land I found this app for my phone/tablet called "back country pro" it has great topo and satellite maps that can be saved for when you have no signal
It also has addons that let you know where different boundaries are for state, private, and blm land is along with other boundaries and that can be on top of a topo/ satellite maps.
Kinda cool and handy for those like me who are not always familiar.. just thought I'd share.
