While my son was busy reeling in a large fish, I was snapping pics...



It was a bit windy and the boat was drifting toward this big guy, so I knew he was going to take off. Sorry I didn't have time to focus...this pic was taken just before me, my fishing rod, and cell phone went swimming. I sunk in the mud up to my hips but I got my stuff back. :P Suddenly it was cold and I wanted to go home.

I had just put the camera down and the boat rocked the wrong way. The phone drowned in the incident, didn't even remember it until I started to get into the truck.

These birds have such a large wingspan. Had one fly a couple of feet over my head near dark one evening. I heard a 'whoosh whoosh' sound, turned around, then almost had a heart attack. That was the first time I'd seen one, thought it was a pterodactyl!
