Took a ride out to an area with serious history and knocked on a few doors, thank god one of the owners not only gave me full permission to his land and the land next to him that’s “private” but he was super cool and told me to come back when I have time for a hike and he is going to show me 3 bottle dumps from the homes that are no longer standing that he knows of from hunting the area! Great variety of keepers including a D-buckle, Buckle clip, a small intact buckle from the 1700s or early 1800s from my research, 3 wheats, toasted “5” cent shield nickel, sweet tombac button, 2 identical massive ornate dandy buttons one with shank and and the best find of the day an absolutely stunning 1897-P Barber Quarter. Definitely an unexpected day with an exceptional ending!
