I hit the local park today. I've covered it before with my 505, but have only had the AT for a couple weeks.
At any rate, I was amazed at how much I had missed with the 505! First ten minutes scored a 1941 quarter. I scored a 1953 dime later in the hunt, followed immediately by a wheat penny. I also scored a token. "Victoria Cord Works, Philadelphia". My research tells me this token is from the 1880's era. Cool! Also found a Boy Scout tie clamp. I was amazed at the sensitivity of this machine, and it's ability to pick good stuff from the trash! In the pictures, you can see the small copper rivets with fabric stuck between them that I found, as well as what appears to be a piece of a pop-rivet?
At any rate, I'll be returning tomorrow to finish the park. Awesome day!
I was strictly coin hunting today & probably will tomorrow. I ignored the lower tones & just focused on the higher ones. Eventually, I will return & try my luck at jewelry hunting (which means digging a lot of junk to get the good stuff).
