I hit the local park today. I've covered it before with my 505, but have only had the AT for a couple weeks.
At any rate, I was amazed at how much I had missed with the 505! First ten minutes scored a 1941 quarter. I scored a 1953 dime later in the hunt, followed immediately by a wheat penny. I also scored a token. "Victoria Cord Works, Philadelphia". My research tells me this token is from the 1880's era. Cool! Also found a Boy Scout tie clamp. I was amazed at the sensitivity of this machine, and it's ability to pick good stuff from the trash! In the pictures, you can see the small copper rivets with fabric stuck between them that I found, as well as what appears to be a piece of a pop-rivet?
At any rate, I'll be returning tomorrow to finish the park. Awesome day!
I was strictly coin hunting today & probably will tomorrow. I ignored the lower tones & just focused on the higher ones. Eventually, I will return & try my luck at jewelry hunting (which means digging a lot of junk to get the good stuff).

The pics are reversed in order. The last is a pic of everything, followed by the silvers, then the Boy Scout emblem, then the token, and a shot of a few odds and ends.
Any ideas on the blank pendant in the first pic? It appears to have maybe been painted at one time, but wore off in the ground.
Thanks!

Looks like you had a great hunt, congrats.

Great finds!! I found a Boy Scout clamp the other day. Very similar to yours with a different emblem in the middle....

His is a Cub Scout slide.

Is mine a "slide"? It has two bendable "arms" on the back. Not necessarily clamps. I know very little about the things I find, haha!!

Yes, tie or neckerchief slide.

I JUST found a pic of my slide, haha!! Circa 1950's....so the description says..: VINTAGE BOY SCOUTS EAGLE TURKS HEAD HANDKERCHIEF SLIDE (Boy Scout Memorabilia) at Treasured Things

Mine is slightly different. The one in the link looks to be metal and mine looks to be brass and the desing around the emblem is different. The one in the link has a single/solid piece on the back, mine has two bendable "arms". Guess it could be later/earlier then the 50's?

Sorry for jacking your thread man...
