Went to a spot that I have had pretty good luck with in the past and today was no exception. I found 3 Indian Head penny's (1864, 1868, 1872)all in great shape with the exception of the scratch I put in the 68'.

The first pick is of the 1964 with a visible L on the ribbon. Didn't realize it until I cleaned it up a bit and got the red book out. Might have to send this one off to get graded.

The third pic is of the 1872. I thought I had found the holy grail of Indians but after research I realized that's the 1877. Still learning.. According to the red book this coin is still rare but I'm trying to distinguish if it's the shallow N or bold N variety.

Your IH cents are gorgeous with that dark patina. Excellent finds

That 1872 is a great find. Congrats

You got over three choice specimens today. Those are all good dates, and the patina and detail are heavenly.

You are the Grand Master of Found Ancient Pennies on TreasureNet today. To me at least.

Congratulations on the IH's.
