Great Saturday in Chicago Woods

Went to the woods early in the morning to avoid too much heat. Found a number of goodies. A nice antique silver ring with an unknown stone (any help with it would be appreciated); two silver dimes, a 1918-D Merc and a 1946 Rosie; two wheaties 1914 and 1947-S; a 4" pope or cardinal bronze figurine (any help with ID is appreciated); 5 Wednesday Company tokens (4 in a hole ); and of course clad. Not bad for a hot day in the woods.

Updated: Went to antique stores yesterday and was told that the ring was handcrafted and the stone seems like a birthday crystal. No specifics about it though.

Thanks. I'll join the club this fall. Not now cause I have a trip to my Island Puerto Rico and will stay for a month Got a number of tips on places to detect over there. Hoping to bring really good stuff.

I love hunting in the woods as well!

I think the stone is a red garnet birthstone.

It has a setting similar to a ring I found last month!
