Hi all,
I hunted one of my new field sites (former log cabin site, according to owner) last night as I realize my window of opportunity is fast slipping away. Parked the car, started some gridding and saw lots of pottery shards. Soon got a good signal and popped out a dirt-covered dime. I was hoping for at least a Barber! Since the car was close I walked over and rinsed it off....1876cc seated dime! Huzzah!! I found my first seated just 3 months earlier, almost to the day, so I was pretty happy. Found a few relics and my first pipe stem. I'll be going over this site with a fine tooth comb for sure. What a fun way to end the day and love the field hunts! :happy3:

That's Awesome Anne! Sounds like you got yourself a real honey hole there! I was getting ready to post for the first time on the new forum and came across your finds. The seated dime looks beautiful-and of course I'm jealous as a seated dime has eluded me so far. Today, by happenstance, I stumbled upon an old lot that just had the hint of a driveway, slighty cleared and a flag pole which has me curious as to what this lot might have been at one time. Again congrats on your most awesome finds!

YEEE HAAA!!! Them CC coins are few and far between! Great shape too! You da gal! :blob9:

Man, that thing is CRISP! :-)

Wow, another seated dime for you and in awesome condition! Very nice relics too. Look forward to seeing what else you find there at the site you scouted out. WTG!

That's a great looking dime. Hit that place hard! Congrats!

Wow Anne!....she is a beauty! A huge congrats on a sweet looking seated! Hope you can pull some more like that outta there!

Good looking seated, Congrats. Still waiting for my first, good hunting.

WTG Anne!! That Seated Dime is in excellent shape. Huge congrats!! Good luck on return hunt

Very Nice seated Dime, Congratulations.
Happy Hunting

Nice-nice-nice! WTG Anne! That's one of the prettiest dimes I've seen in awhile, so sharp you could cut yourself - be careful! I'd frame that one and hang it on the wall for sure! Congrats again, and good luck if you go back! D

Thats an awesome coin!

Would you believe I've found only 2 Seated Dimes and both of them are 1876.

Of course...mine don't have that Carson City Mintmark!!!

Nice Digs,

That's a great dime Anne, good detail and nice patina. I dug up a 1885 that I think is nice, but yours looks better. Looks like you have a spot that will keep you busy for quite some time.
