Hi all,
I hunted one of my new field sites (former log cabin site, according to owner) last night as I realize my window of opportunity is fast slipping away. Parked the car, started some gridding and saw lots of pottery shards.
Soon got a good signal and popped out a dirt-covered dime. I was hoping for at least a Barber! Since the car was close I walked over and rinsed it off....1876cc seated dime! Huzzah!! I found my first seated just 3 months earlier, almost to the day, so I was pretty happy. Found a few relics and my first pipe stem. I'll be going over this site with a fine tooth comb for sure. What a fun way to end the day and love the field hunts!
