Green & oxblood corkscrew

I have an old small box of marbles of various sizes I picked up at a yard sale many moons ago that may have a similar one to that in it...
IF my memory serves me well... which ? heh

I know NOTHING about marbles... and have always wondered about them. IE: Value if any etc.

Loving the Cork!! AARC, I would love to see pics of your marbles and Cheese is great at helping with ID's.

I have been curious about them since the day I bought them... been in a little wood box for ever and I know its around here somewhere...
Will dig em out and post a few pics the eve... or try to anyway tonight.

Ok... snapped a few pics with an older cam... just to try it out.

Hope the images are at least ok... if need be can isolate one or some and take with my better cam if need be.

Oh and have some old clay ones somewhere around here as well... errr or pottery ones...
But I have an idea on those.
but heck that was eons ago.... so maybe a pic of them if I can find them.

Cool group! There are a lot of 70s-80s asian import marbles but in your first group at the top right is a red and white one with stripes like baseball stitching. That is a Peltier rainbo, an older American marble that is a staple in most collections, probably '40s to '50s. Also the transparent blue one with a white swirl is a nice one made by Alley in West Virginia in the 30s or so. The blue and white one in the lower left of the first group is a Marble King, another staple in most collections. Probably 1950s-60s.

Feel free to share more if you find them :D

Hey thanks more the info.

There are some iridescent ones... some where as well... heh
See if I can find /take some more pics later.

Thanks again ... Oh btw any value to the lot ? if I wanted to sell ?

The Alley might be worth a few bucks depending on condition because it has a nice pattern and good older glass. The rest of the lot has low value. Probably less than $10 for the lot. The older ones you have are common, so they aren't in demand. Keep looking though, often one marble in a lot is all it takes. I have bought big lots of marbles that I didn't want just because there was one particular marble in it worth a lot. A single marble can go for thousands.

Will post another picture or 2 shortly.
Again thanks. :)
