Getting back into the hobby after a number of years. I used to be a serious relic hunter and have recently gained access to some privately owned historical real estate and it renewed my interest in swinging a coil. I presently own a rather old Fisher 1260-X which has been a favorite and dependable workhorse over the years. It's got battle scars and plenty of character but performs just as good as the day it was new.
I parted with a Whites XLT a few years ago, having been talked out of it by a long time friend who is putting it to good use. Looking at the newer machines and technological advances since I was last active in the hobby, I need to study on options for a higher end detector a little more so I just pulled the trigger on a Whites Treasuremaster to play around with until I decide how far I want to get back into this.
