Greetings From Louisville New Guy

Hey all I wanted to introduce myself to everyone and throw out there that I'm looking for a local club or group to get together with that may be in my area. I actually live in Crestwood, KY which is right outside of Louisville and is just south of Southern Indiana. If anyone is in these areas or knows of a group from these areas let me know! I just started detecting in the last month or so, but I'm really getting into the hobby and look forward to talking with you all and exchanging finds and good stories. Great to meet you all!

Hello! I'm also from Kentucky about 40 miles east of Louisville. I've been looking for groups to join I haven't had any luck recently.

I have looked into a few groups that used to be around, but it appears they no longer exist or meet up. A lot of the website url's are no longer active and the emails are no longer functional. I know that the local government has made detecting in Louisville virtually impossible unless you get private permissions. Maybe this has led to the downfall of the groups locally. I'm hoping that's not the case and I just haven't found one yet, but it's not looking good so far.

Have you looked into southern Indiana? If you can drive I would look into Covington Kentucky area they most likely have groups.
