A newbie here. Just got my first MD, a starter unit (of course). If I find the hobby fun (which of course I hope I do) I'm already researching what my next upgrade will be. How's that for odd: haven't even used it yet (other than to find a property boundary) and already thinking about a second unit!

Welcome to T-Net. I'm sure you will ejoy the hobby. Happy Hunting....

Welcome from the Blue Mountains of northeastern Oregon! Get out with that detector and find something! :icon_thumright: Best way to get started is read your manual at least three times with the detector beside you. As you go through the manual play with the beast to familiarize yourself with it. Then take the manual with you when you go out so you can refer to it if you have any questions and problems. Some people suggest taking an notepad and pencil to make notes as you detect, both about the detector and hunting.

All it takes is Practice, Practice, Practice! Good luck and great hunting! :hello: ;D
