From south Louisiana. I've been metal detecting for approximately one year, mostly at parks. Currently I own a tracker IV and a new Garrett pro pointer AT (courtesy of ol' Saint Nick), but I will be upgrading in the near future to a Tesoro vaquero. I enjoy finding old coins, jewelry, and the occasional relic, as well as the research involved in the location of new (to me) detecting sites. Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning from many of the more seasoned detectorists on this forum and applying that knowledge out in the field!

Believe me there is no end to the knowledge about detecting on here. I can honestly say I have learned more on here than I did reading the books.. Also check out the forums for the different manufacturers, Whites, Garrett etc
