Nice axe Hillbilly Women have all the luck lol Jeff

Howdy Hill Billy, I'm sure you asked where she found it. You want to keep looking there. Just ask Johnny X! Back in the 70's, here in Iowa, there was this farmer, I forget his name, who was famous for his axhead collection that at the time was over 400. All of which he had found! Well, he sold a cheap made booklet on how to find them. It's been thirty years since I read it, but I remember him saying that a lot of the axheads where in the same spots. They were all found in farm fields near rivers, mostly at the first plateau above the river bottom, with a southeast exposure and at certain high ground locations.

Yes she found it right down the street from me.It was found on the south east side of a hill above a creek. So the farmers theory is true in this case. HB

Nice! I would scour the area! There might be another one close by! Did you guys get a lot of that rain last week over in Taylorsville?

Good luck!

Nice axe, maybe you will find the next one,
I have only found one grooved axe, & one celt,
in all my years of looking.

No Jeff, I don't think so. I believe he sold his collection and passed away years ago.
