Hello all! I finally got out looking after work and I found this tool in a creek behind my in-laws house near Nevada City this evening. I’ve found a haskett and a broken spear point in the same area a few years back. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I also found these bedrock mortars deeper in the high Sierra when I was fishing yesterday. pictures 1 an 2 are awesome, the other piece is hard to tell if it's anything besides a rock.

That could be an Indian Mill. They have some here similar to that in the next county over. Google image "Indian Grinding stones bedrock" You'll find many similar to that.

Not sure on that stone its possible it was a tool. It does look rather uniform in shape.

It’s perfectly symmetrical. The bit is still almost sharp and there is pretty clear burnishing/polishing on the lower section. I’ve found celts before, just never and offset or beveled one.

No pic of the spear point in my phone.
