I'm no expert. I have zero experience and a lot of imagination.
The view through the hoyo looks like an alligator to me.
 

There are much simpler means to direct one's eye to your view port (read, an air gap caused by the natural fracturing of the large lower stone and its slow down hill movement). A simple ----> would suffice. It would be a lot less work than two seemingly large holes. That is unless the holes themselves are also information themselves.

Be suspicious of all rocks being just natural. Unless you have reason to believe they are not naturally occurring, the least sinister explanation is usually the correct one. Travel to whatever you see through the hole. If you find nothing, it's probably case closed.
