Got out to the group hunt on Sunday. It had to be one of the tuffest places I have hunted yet. The depth meter was off on almost everyones detectors showing deep targets only to find it was still in the plug. Mems were also coming in any where from IHs to quarters and they were abundant.
My take for the hunt was about $10.00 in clad, 7 wheaties, and my one and only silver was an Italian 1863T Vittorio Emanuele II 1 Lira. There were two places these were minted, Milan and Turin. Turin had the least minted that year which makes it worth a little more than the Milan at about $22.00. This is my oldest silver coin to date.
These pics I found online. Haven't had a chance to break out the camera and take actual pictures but will update the post once I do.
It was great meeting up with all of you as well as having the chance to meet some new detectorist that enjoy the hobby. Hope we can get out again.
