I just replied to your other post but I'll post here as well.

I'd say anywhere from 1860-1880.
 

There's a website thats uk based for detecting. It has a whole section on these.

Is it a gutter or flat back ? Is it missing a pin attachment? It doesn't look like any I've seen. It looks kinda like a decoration that goes around a dresser or drawer handle. That's also a lot of gold gilt still on it. Either it's been in amazing quality dirt or its more modern. Early 1900s to the 20s.

It has a place where the pin was
 

Very nice Sash buckle.
I'd say it's mid-late Victorian era.

I could very well be wrong but it looks more like a decoration, especially having a flat back. Most sash buckles are relatively thick and heavy duty.

I’m not sure what it is now. It does have a place for the pin that goes in the middle, maybe it’s the border that came of the frame? I don’t know

This sash buckle I dug is solid. The back has a solid piece for attaching it.

All mine are thin as hell, especially the ones without attachment points.
